Bratislava, 28.septembra 2020 – strategická poradná skupina WHO (World Health Organisation) pre imunizáciu SAGE (Strategic Advisory Group of Experts) vydala 21. septembra 2020 odporúčania pre očkovanie proti chrípke počas pandémie COVID-19, v ktorých zaraďuje zdravotníckych pracovníkov do rizikovej skupiny s najvyššou prioritou očkovania proti chrípke v tejto sezóne.[1] Cieľom prioritného očkovania zdravotníkov je minimalizovať absencie zdravotníkov v práci, obmedziť šírenie ochorenia v zdravotníckych zariadeniach, zabrániť prenosu chrípky na pacienta a úmrtiam. Všetky tieto dopady majú významný vplyv na celkovú záťaž zdravotného systému vrátane záťaže ekonomickej.
