Na Neonatologickej klinike intenzívnej medicíny LF UK a NÚDCH je ročne hospitalizovaných cca. 400 detí. Ide o predčasne narodené detičky alebo kriticky chorých novorodencov, z ktorých 40 – 50 % vyžaduje aj intenzívnu starostlivosť na Jednotke vysoko špecializovanej starostlivosti o novorodencov.
Pre novorodencov so závažnými respiračnými problémami či s rizikom respiračného zlyhania sme získali terapeutický ventilačný systém “Vapotherm Precision Flow”. Dodáva detičkám optimálne zahrievaný a zvlhčený prúd vzduchu a kyslíka prostredníctvom nazálneho aplikátora. Dôsledkom včasnej intervencie pomocou systému Vapotherm očakávame nižší počet inkubácii u neonatologických pacientov s akútnou respiračnou nedostatočnosťou.
